How we are paid
If your circumstances require Regis Bentley to research and facilitate a suitable investment management solution of your portfolio, we charge our fees for this service in one of two ways:
We charge an annual investment management fee, but do not charge each time a change is made to the investments within the portfolio. We believe this best aligns the interest of the client and adviser and does not encourage excessive switching of investments. Our charges are:
- An initial percentage fee of the amounts invested. This excludes amounts invested into cash such as deposit accounts and National Savings
- A percentage annual fee of the value of the investments under advice.
- These fees would be individually tailored based upon the initial and ongoing services required.
We are completely transparent with regard to fees and any commission that we receive. In this situation we establish an asset allocation strategy, determine the underlying investment funds and review this periodically, advising you of any recommended changes.
Clients pay for advice in three main ways:
Since 31st December 2012, it has been a regulatory requirement that the cost of all investment and pension advice be based on a fee rather than commission. Please telephone us on 02380 171 070 if you would like a copy of our list of fees
We will always tell you about any commission we earn, and the cost of this commission paid out by the provider will normally be factored into the price or your product. These commissions vary with different products and providers but will be documented on the key facts illustration (KFI) you receive from the adviser.
- Fees & Commission
By paying a combination of fees and commission, the adviser will rebate back into the financial products or hand to you some or all of the commission or offset it against the fee
Whether we take our remuneration by way of commission or fees will be a matter of discussion and agreement, and no charges for fees will be made without prior notification in writing.
